* osmo_panic(): Annotate as __attribute__ ((noreturn))Harald Welte2018-06-291-1/+8
| | | | | | | | | | In Change-Id I5a70eb65952cbc329bf96eacb428b07a9da32433 we redirected all OSMO_ASSERT() via osmo_panic(). However, this caused various applications to have build failures, as OSMO_ASSERT() now appeared to be able to return to the call site. Let's inform the compiler explicitly that there's no return from osmo_panic(). Change-Id: I8adf4c7b0ee6a4581cef8dd4e9f6a1dfde70ee55
* Fix/Update copyright notices; Add SPDX annotationHarald Welte2017-11-131-0/+2
| | | | | | | | Let's fix some erroneous/accidential references to wrong license, update copyright information where applicable and introduce a SPDX-License-Identifier to all files. Change-Id: I39af26c6aaaf5c926966391f6565fc5936be21af
* doxygen: unify use of \file across the boardNeels Hofmeyr2017-06-231-6/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Considering the various styles and implications found in the sources, edit scores of files to follow the same API doc guidelines around the doxygen grouping and the \file tag. Many files now show a short description in the generated API doc that was so far only available as C comment. The guidelines and reasoning behind it is documented at https://osmocom.org/projects/cellular-infrastructure/wiki/Guidelines_for_API_documentation In some instances, remove file comments and add to the corresponding group instead, to be shared among several files (e.g. bitvec). * doxygen: enable AUTOBRIEF, drop \briefNeels Hofmeyr2017-06-231-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Especially for short descriptions, it is annoying to have to type \brief for every single API doc. Drop all \brief and enable the AUTOBRIEF feature of doxygen, which always takes the first sentence of an API doc as the brief description. Change-Id: I11a8a821b065a128108641a2a63fb5a2b1916e87

* Update doxygen annotations in libosmocoreHarald Welte2016-05-051-3/+22
| | | | | This adds and improves doxygen API descriptions all over libosmocore, reducing the 'white spots' that don't have any documentation.
* add some missing doxygen annotation for libosmocore functionsHarald Welte2013-01-111-0/+1

* backtrace: use namespace prefix osmo_*Pablo Neira Ayuso2011-05-071-1/+1
| | | | | | Summary of changes: s/backtrace/osmo_backtrace/g
* include: reorganize headers file to include/osmocom/[gsm|core]Pablo Neira Ayuso2011-03-231-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves all GSM-specific definitions to include/osmocom/gsm. Moreover, the headers in include/osmocore/ have been moved to include/osmocom/core. This has been proposed by Harald Welte and Sylvain Munaunt. Tested with `make distcheck'. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@gnumonks.org>
* This patch moves the GSM-specific functions to the new libraryPablo Neira Ayuso2011-03-231-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | libosmogsm which is provided by libosmocore. I have also moved generate_backtrace() to backtrace.c instead of gsm_utils.c, otherwise the timer and msgfile tests depend on libosmogsm. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@gnumonks.org>
* Move the generate backtrace call from MSGB_ABORT to osmo_panic handlerSylvain Munaut2010-11-131-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | This has two benefits: - All people calling osmo_panic() will have the backtrace - It makes the thing build in 'target' mode in osmocom-bb And one downside: - The osmo_panic handler is now in the backtrace (I can live with that :) Signed-off-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tNt.com>
* panic: Fix type warning - osmo_panic_handler_t is already a pointer ...Sylvain Munaut2010-11-131-1/+1

* core: Add some generic panic handlingSylvain Munaut2010-07-251-0/+71
This also includes an option for a minimal 'infinite loop' type panic that could be required for embedded target that don't have abort() or fprintf() Signed-off-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tNt.com>
